Never used Meta tags before? Well they can do some very useful things, just read on. To use these tags, just put them in your page's header.

Tell search engines about your page

<meta name="description" content="Prosoft - Freeware and Shareware for Psion computers and a lot more!">

<meta name="keywords" content="Psion, Series, 3, 3a, mx, 5, freeware, Siena, free,
series 3, series 3a, series 3c, series 3mx, series 5, shareware">

Put the above two meta tags in the head of the document, and some search engines will take note, and improve your position in their listings. That's the theory anyway!

Redirect visitor to a different page

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="3;URL='http://www.fogma.co.uk/prosoft'">

The visitor will then open this page and get redirected after 3 seconds to http://www.fogma.co.uk/prosoft. Don't forget to tell the visitor what is happening on the page and give them a link (just in case the redirection does not work for any reason).

Stop the Browser from caching your page.

<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache">

This will force the browser to reload your page from the server, and not from it's cache, ever time it is viewed.
